When visiting the sign in page, we use transitional cookies in order to establish if the browser accepts cookies. These cookies do not contain any personal data, and are deleted from storage once the browser is closed.

When logging in to the website, we create multiple cookies, which save the log in data and display editing options. The log in cookies are valid for two days, and the cookies storing the editorial interface’s options are valid for a year. If the “Remember me” option is chosen, the login is extended by two weeks. When logging out, the log in cookies are removed.

If a post or page is edited, our browser stores a new form of cookies. These cookies do not contain any personal data, it simply stores the edited post’s identification number. It expires after one day.

Who we share user data with

How long do we store personal data

If a comment is written, the comment and its metadata are stored in the system for an indefinite period of time. This is so all following comments may become recognized and approved by us. In other words, so no comments are uploaded to the list of content waiting to be moderated.

The personal data of registered users on the website (if there are any), is also stored in their personal user profile. Every user can view, edit, and delete their own personal data at any time (with the exception of not being able to change their username). The website’s administrators can also view and edit this information.

What rights does a user have in relation to their own data

An export file containing any previously submitted personal data can be requested after registering an account or posting a comment. Any previously submitted data can also be requested to be deleted. This does not include certain pieces of data that are indispensable, and we are obligated to keep in terms of administration, legal, or for safely reasons.

Where is data transferred to

An automatic spam filtering service may check the comments that viewers send in.
